Biography
Crystal Palace was started when Paula (the singer) and Robert (sometimes the singer and sometimes guitarist/bass player) had this kinda stupid idea to be in the GHS talent show. So we grabbed a bunch of people, two singers, a guitarist, a bassist, and a drummer and went down in a blaze of glory, no kidding that's how bad we sucked. So after that it was decided that Paula, Robert and the drummer Nick were gonna keep it simple. The name just popped out of Paula's mouth after we had decided to play in The Battle Of The Bands. Prior to that we were known as Semper Phi, and then Two Men and A Baby. So only days before we played, Paula went with the vodka that had been there for her and name kinda stuck. Battle of the Bands came and we tore up a 45 minute set and ran off with first prize beating out Brixton the champs and a crowd favorite. They eventually broke up sad to say, but they fuckin' rocked. After that we kinda of went in our own directions only for me to revive the project a year later. In the Rio Rancho Battle Of the Bands I ended up signing up Crystal Palace before we could get it together. The weekend of it I went nuts trying to get everything together and put on a show. Nick couldn't play drums as it happened so we had Lance from 9ft5in and Sistum Goat play drums. But Lance wasn't a slow drum player, he played hip-hop and Korn type beats needless to say we went and were destroyed. But we gave it our all and won a little studio time as well as wowed the crowd stupid with a song we put together in about five minutes. Truth is Crystal Palace is at a stand still so things are not happening, but I have some sounds for all you people out there. But I'll keep the dream alive as Paula prepares to move to Idaho. But we should be able to record something soon professional and home studio. We'll see in the next couple of weeks. Crystal Palace lives.-PJ
